The Leis Houses are a collection of three homes that Peter Zumthor designed and had constructed in 2009.
The first two homes that were built were the Oberhus (Zumthor's Home) and Unterhaus (Zumthor's Wife's Home). These two homes were inspired by the vision Zumthor's wife had of a humble home in the mountains.
Two of the homes (Oberhus and Turmilihus) are currently for rent at this website:

These homes are primarily used as vacation homes.
All of the roofs of the region are obligated by law to use rough -hewn granite slabs for roof tiling.
He came with a respect for the tradition of the area, and made his best efforts to let the environment shape the design of these homes
Wood is not used only for a coat or a mark, but for the massive wooden construction of all walls. Concrete is used only in contact with the ground.
Houses still dry slowly, so wood will shrink in such a manner that the height of the floors will be reduced by 2-3 centimeters over the next few years. Zumthor designed the home with this shrinkage in mind.
